Arkansas Tourism – Social Media Campaign
The campaign for the Spring/Summer 2019 promotion for Arkansas Tourism had a stronger social media focus than ever before. The plan was to plan and document a road trip across the state and then hold an online contest to give away an opportunity to take the same road trip for free. A pair of social media influencers with built-in followings were recruited to be the featured participants in the road trip.
The goal was for all documentation to feel organic and unstaged which actually required a multi-camera production crew, several GoPro camera mounts and footage shot by our featured influencers; an undertaking packed into 4 intense days of travel. The project turned out to be one of the largest campaigns ever undertaken and resulted in nearly 10,000 contest entries. The social media campaign reached over 9,000,000 people with an average cost per result of about $1, engagement near 3,000 post reactions, over 13,000 link clicks to the website, and over 600,000 3-Second video views.
I designed the social media ads to promote the contest which featured a Facebook Instant Experience and lead-in video. I also worked on designing the display ads.
